1000 GUINEAS 1833

The 20th winner of the 1000 Guineas, held on Thursday 25th April 1833 over the Ditch Mile, was Tarantella (2/1 fav), a chestnut filly by Tramp out of Katherine, owned by Mr T H Cookes, who won by 3 lengths in a common canter. A field of 10 runners contested the race which was worth £1740 (Equivalent to £179,200 in 2017)
